Charlie Gott is carrying out the family tradition as a
musician.
Charlie is a Straight A Honors Student in the 8th
grade at Thurman White Middle School where he
participates in the Symphonic Band and Madrigal
Singers. Outside of school, he plays in the Las Vegas
Symhony and the Henderson Civic Symphony.
Charlie is the drummer for Walt Boenig's All-Star
Jazz Band and First Chair Percussion in Honor Band.
He studies percussion at The University of Nevada at
Las Vegas with Dr. Tim Jones. For the past two
summers, he was First Chair Percussion at the
Interlochen Michigan Arts Camp and won the 2002
and 2003 Fine Arts Awards from Interlochen for
outstanding achievment in percussion. Last summer he
also played percussion in the orchestra for the Las
Vegas Music Fesyival. I 2003, Charlie won first place
in the Bolognini Competition on Marimba.
